Rod-pockets are used to easily hang the backdrop. We sew a “pocket” or “loop” on the edge of the fabric so you can slide a pole or cross-bar through it. You can order a rod pocket on any side of the backdrop. The rod pocket is approximately 3.5″ tall – we fold over the fabric and sew with an industrial serger stitch for strength. The backdrop dimensions will be reduced by approximately the same 3.5″ due to the rod pocket. The rod pocket makes it easy to hang with any of our backdrop stands. Just slide the crossbar that comes with the stand through the pocket. It makes it quick to setup, hang and take down (perfect for location shoots where you need to set-up quickly).
Add grommets to one or more sides of your backdrop. Grommets are used to hang your foam-backed backdrop, attach it to a frame, using rope, straps, bungees or ties. We double-tuck the foam background before attaching the grommets for added strength. The grommets are anchored with two layers of the backdrop – not just one! This slightly reduces the dimensions of the backdrop by about 2.7″ for each side that grommets are selected. We use the highest quality grommets with teeth to give added durability and strength. Grommets are spaced approximately every 2 feet apart.
