ADC 280 Silent Steel Track Systems
SILENT STEEL is the most famous name in heavy-duty stage curtain tracks. Model 280 steel (380 steel (aluminum available)) is used in the majority of stage installations with heavy weight curtains of almost any length and is particularly quiet in operation. Models 281(381) and 282(382) can be used for heavier curtains. They are essentially identical to Model 280(380) except Model 281(381) is equipped with neoprene-tired ball-bearing carriers and Model 282(382) is supplied with nylon tired ball-bearing carriers. Both systems are equipped with larger diameter floor and end pulleys.
The default configuration for this series is bi-part operation, suspended mounting and manual cord operation. This series is available in other configurations as well such as one-way draw, ceiling mounted, pipe-mounted, and walk-along operation to name a few. Any configuration other than the standard one must be specified.
Heavy weight curtains of almost any length the track system is particularly quiet in operation. This series track is available in a wide variety of models allowing it to be used for most non-curved applications. For very large and very heavy curtains Models 283-N and 283-R offer ball-bearing equipped carrier wheels along with 8″ diameter ball-bearing equipped pulley sets to help ease the operation of the system. Model 283-N offers hard nylon tires for long wear, while Model 283-R offers neoprene tires for quieter operation.
